On Thursday 16th of March, FEMM Hub Manager along with 2 PhD students Reece Eblet and Wei Liang Choong attended 2 primary schools in New Mills, Derbyshire as part of British Science Week to encourage pupils to consider going to University and to learn more about a career in engineering.

In the morning the team visited Newtown Primary School before travelling to Thornsett Primary for the afternoon session, and just in time for school dinners! Both sets of children also had the opportunity to work in pairs and make their own motor which they could take home. The children were amazing, asked us lots of interesting questions about electrical machines and worked together during the tasks.
