The Future Electrical Machines Manufacturing (FEMM) hub invites you to our first conference, to be held at the IET, Birmingham on 13th September 2021.
The day will feature presentations on the recent advances in the design and manufacture of high value electrical machines. Our Grand Challenge leaders will present key areas of research for each of the eight work packages, along with initial findings as well as future research directions.
A technical poster session will also showcase the work of our researchers plus the results from our first round of Feasibility Fund awardees. This informal session will aim to stimulate conversation and identify potential areas of collaboration with delegates.
Our over-arching aim for this initial conference is to build a future network within the UK for cutting edge electrical machine research and we invite you to join us in this venture.
The welcome address will be given by FEMM hub Director, Professor Geraint Jewell. In addition to talks by our Grand Challenge leaders, there will be plenary talks including Professor Duc Pham from the University of Birmingham, who will deliver a presentation on ‘Research into using collaborative robots to disassemble products for remanufacturing’.
