19th International Conference in Manufacturing Research ICMR 2022

19th International Conference on Manufacturing Research Incorporating the 36th National Conference in Manufacturing Research hosted by the University of Derby, UK 6 – 8th of September 2021. It will include keynote presentations by internationally renowned researchers and industrialists, as well as papers from academia and industry, exploring all core areas of Digital and Advanced manufacturing engineering.
Initiated by the Consortium of UK University Manufacturing and Engineering (COMEH), ICMR has been the UK’s main manufacturing research conference for 35 years and an international conference since 2003 ‐ bringing researchers, academics and industrialists together to share their vision, innovation, knowledge and experience, and discuss emerging trends and new challenges.Previous conferences information can be found at ICMR2021 and ICMR2019.
Derby is distinguished by its excellence in engineering and technology. It is the major home of three of the global industry i.e. aerospace, railway and automotive. It is claimed that Derby is the central of innovation and excellence in these two areas of industry.
Charles Rolls and Henry Royce founded Rolls-Royce Limited in 1904. Royce had built such a great car that Rolls decided to sell and market the car under the name ‘Rolls-Royce’. The first car created by both men was the Rolls-Royce 10 HP. Their first example, the Rolls-Royce Eagle, was made in 1915. It was the first engine to make a non-stop trans-Atlantic crossing by aeroplane. It wasn’t a jet engine however; jet engines came about soon after WWII.
Derby is one of the greenest city in East Midlands and blessed with the University of Derby (https://www.derby.ac.uk/) which is one of the most modern University in the region. The University is the HUB of the community and industry for Innovation in research, enterprise and education.
